Cake smashes have become so popular in the last few years in the UK as a way of celebrating baby's first birthday, as it coincides with the first time eating cake for many. It can make for some hilarious one-off images that will make you smile (and embarrass them at their 18th party!)
After the cake smash session there's the splash session with a little bubble bath and more opportunities for lovely images of your baby having a glorious time. There's even a mini portrait session at the beginning giving you the chance to have images of them in their best outfit before the mess begins.
However, cake smash mess isn't for everyone.
You can also celebrate this important milestone by bringing your baby for a first birthday portrait session. With a backdrop change, outfit and prop changes, an hour will soon be filled with lots of memories and adorable images of your little one.
