A cake smash is a great way to record and celebrate your baby's first taste of cake and their first birthday. It's so much fun to watch them getting messy and enjoying the cake, especially if it's somewhere you don't have to clean afterwards! You can also book a 'smash and splash session, where I will fill a small tin bath with warm water and they can have even more fun washing all the cake off and I will capture all the bubbly magic!
What a fun afternoon I had when Josh came for his cake smash session! I had his little outfit ready and the backdrop and just had to wait for the birthday boy to show with his Mummy and Daddy, and the all cake.
Josh got his little outfit on as soon as he arrived and at first he wasn't sure of his new surroundings.
But once the cake was there he knew exactly what to do! Yum!
I'm very pleased to report that Josh made a good old mess and enjoyed the cake too!
Gah look at those baby rolls!!! Just gorgeous! And those eyes!... And those little curls!
And Mum got this collage to keep!
It's a good idea to get baby's used to cake a little before the cake smash because it can be a bit daunting to see a giant cake for the first time!
And obviously if baby doesn't enjoy a bath at home, he/she will be unlikely to enjoy the 'splash'.
